It may be January but the new season is only just around the corner and training is starting to crank up. As you will have seen from Lou’s emails has started at Newmarket Leisure Centre on Sunday afternoons for the 3, 4, 5s and ladies – included in this is those juniors who are old enough to play senior cricket…Year 8 and upwards (plus any Year 7s selected for a county age group squad and approved to play by county coaches). This helps prepare those juniors for the physical and mental challenges faced by playing senior cricket.

To help bridge the gap I have managed to book the Mildenhall Hub for four weeks initially, as trying to find venues is close to mission impossible, for Year 8s up to U19s. This will allow the younger players in the group to train with their peers who have already started the transition.

The four sessions will start this Friday and run for four consecutive weeks:

                27^th January

                3^rd February

                10^th February

                17^th February

These sessions will start at 5:00pm and end at 6:30pm.

The sessions will cost £5 per player per session; I will collect the money each as this booking is in my name and not the clubs. I appreciate the times are not ideal for everybody but I can only apologise but these times were literally the only sessions available.
